Veterans Challenge Coin Fundraiser

A military challenge coin is a special way to celebrate an important milestone or achievement. Here at the library, we were inspired by the United States’ 250th birthday and the upcoming 100th anniversary of the library’s original building to create this inaugural challenge coin. The unique design, illustrated in-house by our talented library staff members, features a golden eagle in flight, grasping a Nazareth rose in his claws, soaring high above the library’s iconic cupola.

Purchase of one of these limited-edition coins will help us raise funds for a new memorial to veterans on library grounds.

In 2025, the Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity formed a Veterans Memorial Committee made up of current and former library board members, veterans, community members, and volunteers. The committee was established to transform the existing flag display on the library grounds into a meaningful Veterans Memorial that honors the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our country.

The project reflects the library's own history. Founded as a memorial to local veterans, the library has always been rooted in honoring those who served. The new memorial will create a lasting place of reflection, remembrance, and gratitude for generations to come. To date, the committee has raised more than $7,000 toward the project. In addition, a generous donor has pledged to match up to $50,000 in community contributions to help plan, construct, and maintain the memorial.
